You come for the scares, but you stay for the food! While venturing through the 10 haunted houses and five scare zones, you're bound to get hungry and crave a small bite to eat! A frequent visitor at Halloween Horror Nights this past year allowed me to try the various different food and drink items from the booths around the park. Below I have ranked a list of the best that I tried during this spooky season - my top favorite boos and brews at HHN32!

Food:

  1. Cheddar Jalapeño Fire Club - Stellar Bar/Production Central. Based on season 4 of Stranger Things, this unique club sandwich was filled with pork shoulder, potato sticks, Muenster cheese, pineapple, and topped with my ultimate favorite, spicy mayo. All served inside spicy jalapeño cheddar bread!

2. Cordyceps Corndog - The Last of Us. A delicious Korean corndog topped with cordyceps, potato skins, daikon sprouts, and creamy truffle sauce. Filling and totally flavorful for a hearty bite while strolling the park!

3. Mummy Cheesecake Pop - 57 Scare. For avid tweet tooth fans, this mini cheesecake pop with a cute mummy face is adorable and delicious! Filled with Oreo crumbles, chocolate cake, and vanilla icing, this mini treat is perfect for a sweet bite at the end of the night!

4. Bloody Campground Poutine - Yeti booth. A nod to the Canadian classic, if you're wanting something a bit more filling to carry you through the night, this meal will hit the spot. Equipped with crispy fries, seasoned roasted pork, gravy, cheese curds, chili, and scallions.

5. Fried til the End Chicken - Chucky/San Francisco. Fried chicken bites topped with Nashville hot sauce, tossed in creamy ranch, scallions, and chili sauce. Great for sharing with friends and snacking on the go while you walk through the house lines!

Drinks:

  1. Voodoo Brewing Lacto Kooler - Throughout the park. This has been a top favorite of mine for the past two years at Halloween Horror Nights - if you're a fan of tart, sour beers, this one is perfect for a tasty yet refreshing beverage while strolling the park. Bonus: the can is a fun reminiscent of a certain slime villain from Ghostbusters!

2. Surfer Boy Tropical Dream Punch - Surfer Boy Pizza. If fun cocktail pad to Stranger Things, season four, and our beloved character, Argyle, this punch is fruity, with rum, pineapple, lime, and passionfruit.

3. Salt Lake City Iced Coffee - Ration Station/New York. If you're wanting a jolt of caffeine, but a slight buzz as well, this drink is perfect for just that! Keep your energy up with espresso liqueur mixed with light rum, sea salt, and vanilla bean, and smoked bitters.

4. Electric Death - Mel's Die In/Battery Park. A vibrant and brightly colored blue cocktail consisting of gin, lime juice, vanilla, pineapple juice, and pimento bitters. Watch your drink glow blue as you walk through the scare zones at night!

5. Peacocktail - Peacock Halloween Horror Bar. Spooky themed cocktail with a concoction of white lightning, blackberry, limoncello, lemon juice, lemon bitters, and simple syrup. Light and refreshing while waiting for those house lines!
